Could you describe how to use the VOM correctly?

Thảo luận trong 'English for The Interview' bắt đầu bởi Hạnh, 9/11/20.

  1. 1: adjust the appropriate scale to measure the quantity you want to measure (current, voltage, resistance)
2: Proceed to place the measuring needle and read the value that the hand points on the dial. Particularly when measuring alternating current, we must put the correct positive and negative rods to measure, otherwise there will not be accurate data

  2. First, you have to get two measuring sticks tightly together to check if the needle is correct. Next you have to adjust the Ampe Volt, R .... when measuring the voltage to adjust the voltage level to avoid the explosion of VOM ... these are the basics when using VOM

how to use VOM to measure resistance correctly.
1 / Adjust the resistance scale accordingly.
2 / Combine 2 measuring rods together, adjust to 0.
3 / Place 2 test leads on the resistance to be measured.
How to read the value on the screen: Get the measured value multiplied by the scale.

    - Plug the black probe into the COM head, the red test probe to the (+)
    - Set the switch on the larger AC V scale but closest to the value to be measured so that the measurement results are most accurate.
    - Place 2 measuring rods on 2 points to be measured (parallel measurement). Don't worry about the polarity of the watch
    - Calculate the measured results like the case of direct voltage measurement.

    Measure 1-way current
Step 1: Plug the black probe into the COM terminal and the red probe to the (+) sign
Step 2: Set the switch of the meter in the scale DC.A - 250mA
Step 3: Turn off the power supply of the test circuits
Step 4: Connect the red probe of the meter to the polarity (+) and the black probe toward the polarity (-) according to the current in the test circuit. Connect the clock in series with the test circuit.
Step 5: Turn on the power of the test circuit.
Step 6: When the reading is less than 25mA, set the switch to DC.A-25mA position to get more accurate results. Similarly for results less than 2.5mA, set the switch to DC.A-2.5mA position.
Step 7: Read and calculate the value: conduct reading on the arc divided by degrees C, calculate the same value as in the case of measuring 1-way voltage. That means that the real value is equal to the number of hands on the scale divided by the scale and divided by the MAX value on the scale.

  6. Step 1: Put the multimeter on the highest current scale.
Step 2: Put the clock rod in series with the load, the red rod to the positive direction, the black rod to the negative direction.
If the needle is too low, reduce the scale
If the needle is on a dramatic scale, increase the scale, if the scale has the highest scale, the multimeter cannot measure this current.
The indicator will tell us the current value
Guide to measure DC voltage with a multimeter.
When measuring DC voltage, remember to convert the scale to the DC scale, when measuring, we put the red rod in the positive (+) source, the black rod to the negative (-) source.

  7. The most accurate way to use VOM is to first adjust the error. then turn the knob to about the amount we need. For example, if we want to measure alternating voltage, we turn the knob to about ac voltage and then proceed to measure the circuit parallel. Similarly want that current, we still do the same as the voltage gauge is to turn the knob about the current measuring range. Then measure in series with the lead. Note that the unit to be measured is larger than the scale that you twist. Or that the quantities to be measured and the crown do not coincide could cause an explosion, dangerous to the body and damage to the equipment.

There are 4 scales resistance, current, voltage AC-DC. When you need to measure turn on the correct scale, if the wrong scale will damage VOM to measure any scale, read the index on that scale.
