Dear HR Department,

In response to the recently advertised position on your portal website, please consider my résumé in your search for the Application/Service Engineer position.

First I want to introduce myself. My name is Pham Duy Phuoc. I was born in 1992. I have just graduated from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. My major is Electrical Engineering.

You mentioned in your advert the need for candidates possessing the ability and knowledge about the Electrical Engineering and Control System. I feel that my studying results from undergraduate and graduate can make me become a great candidate for this position.

At the University of Technology and Education, I have graduated with a very good degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The GPA and Rank in my class are 8.54/10 and 2/180, respectively. That makes me feel I could study higher to get an advanced educational degree in order to enhance my knowledge. So, I decide to apply for a full scholarship to study abroad in Taiwan.

At National Chung Cheng University, I have graduated from the Department of Electrical with GPA is 4.62/5. The rank of my university is 601 in the world according to the Web metric ranking. The Department Rank of my department is from 201-300 in the world. During my studying time at National Chung Cheng University, I have studied and researched the advanced technologies in power systems, control systems. Moreover, I have also studied and researched renewable energy such as solar power and wind generation which I think are the future energy of Vietnam. Vietnam locates in an ideal location for economic development. But we are facing a shortage of electricity and environmental pollution. The thermal and hydropower plant is destroying our living environment. That makes me feel very interested in every course and topic of renewable energy.

My research topic when I studied in Taiwan is about the "smart grid". In the smart grid, everything should be very smart. The title is "Locating the fault location in the distribution system by using the frequency spectra and learning algorithm". Although my results still have some drawbacks, I think this can be a base from which other researchers can have some more ideas in their research. I got 94/10 points in both writing and oral defense. My professor and his colleagues as his thesis examiner committee strongly recommended to this master thesis may extend to become a Ph.D. research project that it will continuously develop and eliminate certain drawbacks.

I also possess knowledge about Control System Theory such as nonlinear control systems, modern control systems. About the industrial automation control devices, I possess the knowledge and experience about some line of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) such as Siemens, Panasonic, and Rockwell Automation. I think I can fulfill every task assigned by your organization.

Moreover, I also possess some skills such as analytical skills, problem-solving skills, communication skills. Especially, I can work under high pressure. These strengths make me feel I can overcome any obstacles which will occur in my job at your company. I have one year of experience working as a process engineer and two-year experiences working as a research assistant in Lab. With a total of three years of experience, I can bring benefits to your organization.
